How to Play Pickel the Pirate, educational board game.

1) Each player must pick a game piece.

2) To decide who goes first, each player rolls one dice. The player with the highest number starts and the game proceeds to the next player to his left.

3) A player rolls one die and advances that number of squares forward on the board.

4) A player must follow the instructions of the square he lands on.

5) If a player lands on one of the four colored deck squares, he draws the top card from the corresponding deck. If he answers correctly, he receives one treasure from that deck's treasure chest, then places the card on the bottom of the deck.

6) If a player lands on a yellow square, he rolls the die again. Not to advance, but if the number he rolls matches a number on the square he occupies, he receives one piece from the treasure chest of his choice.

7) If a player lands on a blue square, he must choose one other player to roll against. Each of those two players roll one dice, the player with the highest number gets to take one treasure of his choice from the other player. If they tie, they roll again.

8) If a player lands on a pink square, he must put one of his treasure pieces back into the treasure chest.

9) If a player lands on an orange square, he must follow the Captain's orders. Players moving forward or backwards do not follow the instructions on the square they have been moved to. If more than one player occupies the last place position, they will all be moved forward.

10) The game is over when a player reaches the green square at the end of the map or at any time when any player has received five treasure pieces of the same type. A player does not need to roll the exact number to end the game.

11) The winning player must read the final green square aloud.

12) With the green 'Create A Question' deck, you can write your own questions on the back and either replace one whole deck or add several green cards to each deck.
